The AM-200C1G amplifier module integrates Infineon’s CoolGaN™ power transistor IGB110S10S1 with the IRS20957S Class-D controller IC, delivering exceptional power density, switching efficiency, and audio fidelity. This design exemplifies the advantages of GaN technology in high-performance Class-D audio amplification. This one-channel design is scalable up to 200 W × 1 channel at 4 Ω without a heatsink. This topology represents an analog version of a second-order sigma-delta modulation, having a Class-D switching stage inside the loop. The module is designed as a compact single channel amplifier to be mounted vertically on a carrier board, allowing for wide flexibility in product applications.
